Legislative Program<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

The purpose of the Legislative program is to provide information and assistance to ALA members to advocate for the legislative agenda of The American Legion. Through lobbying efforts, The American Legion Family can influence legislation to benefit veterans, military, and their families, as well as our communities, the state and the nation.

The American Legion Family is non-partisan, and does not promote, support, or advance any party, candidate or policy but rather advocates solely for The American Legion\u2019s position on legislative issues on behalf of veterans and the military.

All members should be familiar with The American Legion Legislative Agenda <\/b>available at www.legion.org\/legislative<\/span> regarding issues at the Federal level. They should also be familiar with Virginia\u2019s Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service <\/b>Organizations <\/b>regarding issues at the State level.

Sign up for Legislative Alerts at https:\/\/www.votervoice.net\/AmericanLegion\/Register<\/span> <\/a>receive notification when all Legion Family members are called on to take immediate action on a topic.
