National Security Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The ALA National Security program maintains and promotes a strong national defense by strengthening and supporting military service members and their families.<\/p>\n

There are many resources available to us to be able to accomplish this task.
\nSUPPORT MILITARY FAMILIES<\/u>:\u00a0 Operation Homefront Guide, How to Support Troops and their families on Military installations, Welcome Homes, Military Family Support Guide, Military OneSource.
\nPOW\/MIA<\/u>:\u00a0 Defense POW\/MIA Accounting Agency, National Recognition Day, Missing Man Table.
\nPUBLIC SIDE<\/u>:\u00a0 Troop Welcome Home and Send Offs, Troop care packages, Blue Star Banners.
\nJOIN WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS<\/u>:\u00a0 Armed Services YMCA food pantries, Blue Star Families, USO, Quilts of Valor Foundation, American Gold Star Mothers, American Gold Star Families, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
\nNOMINATE<\/u>:\u00a0 Salute to Service Members Awards<\/p>\n

National Security is directly in line with our primary focus for the year \u201cBE THE ONE\u201d.
\nBe The One who will assist our military and their families to ensure they are supported.
\nBe The One who will show care and concern for our deployed troops.
\nBe The One who will raise awareness of our POW\/MIA.
\nBe The One who will praise and salute our service members.<\/p>\n

As one of The American Legion Four Pillars, there is much to be done and much that can be done to assist our military and their families.<\/p>\n
