What an honor and privilege it is to serve as the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Department of Virginia President for the 2025-2026 year. This will be an exciting year for us all!
During the upcoming year, the American Legion Family is honoring the Nation’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, with a commitment to embracing physical activity, supporting mental health, and serving its communities. The USA 250 Challenge encourages American Legion Family members, other veterans, and all Americans to participate, and even raise additional money to support our disabled veterans and families in need through The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation. Participants may engage in one, two or all three activities as an individual or as part of a team like an American Legion post, American Legion Auxiliary unit, Sons of The American Legion squadron, and/or an American Legion Riders chapter. Stay tuned for further information!
Communication is of the utmost importance as we strive to share information in a timely manner. Constant Contact and Department newsletters will keep you up to date on what is happening in the Department. Also, the Department website is https://www.vaauxiliary. org/site2/ for information regarding Department events, activities, and updated reporting deadlines. The ALA National website at https://www.legion-aux.org/ provides current information regarding ALA’s programs and services.
I look forward to meeting with you at district meetings, events, workshops, and conferences to hear about the outstanding work that you are doing to serve our veterans, active military members and their families, and our communities.
Thank you for your outstanding support of the ALA and its programs and services.
For God and Country, “Service Not Self”
Carol Campbell
